I noticed there are some old threads (2011 and prior) mentioning 27" display problems. I have reset PRAM, the SMC, safe mode, and used Diagnostics and Disk Utility and have not been able to diagnose the problem. After I noticed the problems I updated my system to High Sierra and the problems did not go away. Putting the screen to sleep seems to clear it up temporarily, but it always comes back. The computer has never had a problem until now.
